KWB of Berlikum, producer of the Gocargo Loading- and unloading systems
has deliverd four three axle Cargolight trailers to the German Transporter
Weigelt of Eilenburg.
The trailers will mainly be used for the transport of unpacked (less
waste) paper reels of producer Stora-Enso. The reels are very vulnerable
because of the fact that they are not packed.
The reels therefor can not be secured onto the trailers with the existing
means of cargo restraint equipment. This conventional equipment will damage
the reels at the sharp edges even with the use of adapters.
Loading
and unloading with normal forklifts is not desired for these reels because
of the higher risk of damaging the reels.
By equipping all four trailers with the Gocargo system both problems
were solved:
-
With the automatic loading-unloading system the trailers can unload onto
the automatic unloading docks without the need for forklifts or Joloda
rails
-
With the skid resistant top side of the conveyor belt the reels are secured
on the trailer, sliding is not possible. To prevent the reels from tipping
in case of an emerency brake the bulkhead is equipped with an adapter to
stop the reels when tipping
